Answering Questions About LOVE




1.  How do we know what LOVE is?
Answer:  1st John 3, verse 16:
This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.

2. How do we determine who LOVES God?
Answer: John 14, verse 21:
Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him.

3. What can separate us from God’s LOVE?
Answer: Romans 8, verses 38 and 39:
… neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

4.  How should we LOVE God?
Answer: Matthew 22, verse 37:
Jesus replied: “’Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’”

5. How should we manifest our LOVE toward one another?
Answer: 1st Corinthians 13, verses 4 – 8:
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
